The goal of the project is to lay the groundwork for a fully digital LST planning process for ETCS equipment in the Erfurt hub, within the ESTW-A Erfurt control area and the Erfurt operational zone. To achieve this goal, all existing data must be available in the new PlanPro format, which can be processed by modern planning tools such as ProSig or ProVI.

To this end, current as-built plans are merged with data from the digital as-built survey. The object database resulting from the as-built survey provides the actual positions, while the as-built data supplies all other information not evident from the survey.

During the integration of the data sources, a check is performed to verify whether the location information from the property survey matches the existing documentation, and any discrepancies are flagged. This comprehensive planning foundation enables the planning office to build upon a digital and up-to-date data set.
