The\nmotivations differ according to each IM; Network Rail\u2019s SDEF\nmodel focuses on asset inventory and data exchange in the\nplanning process, while the DB Netz PlanPro model focuses on data exchange with the signalling manufacturers. Continuous digital data exchange offers considerable advantages\nand saving potentials at a national level. An internationally\ncoordinated data interface would multiply the benefits. This\nhas given rise to the creation of a harmonised European data\nmodel for the planning of signalling installations. <\/div><\/li><li class=\"list-group-item row\"><div class=\"media-body col col-6 col-md-10 d-flex flex-column justify-content-aroundcol-md-6\"><p class=\"h6 mb-3\">The first ETCS project at an NE<\/p><p class=\"\">SD 07_08\/2021<\/p><a href=\"https:\/\/signon-group.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/SD_7_8_2021_Muecke_Krahl_Erstes-ETCS-Projekt-bei-einer-NE.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"elementor-button-link\" download>Download<\/a><\/div><div class=\" col col-6 col-md-6\">The introduction of ETCS (European Train Control System)\nis progressing both on-board and trackside. By\ncontrast, there has been no implementation to date in the area\nof non-federally owned railways (German abbreviation: NE).\nNorddeutsche Eisenbahngesellschaft Nieb\u00fcll GmbH (neg) is the\nfirst NE in Germany to launch an ETCS project. The aim is to\nimplement ETCS Level 1 Full Supervision (L1 FS). This article\nprovides insight into an exciting first application project.<\/div><\/li><li class=\"list-group-item row\"><div class=\"media-body col col-6 col-md-10 d-flex flex-column justify-content-aroundcol-md-6\"><p class=\"h6 mb-3\">Nationwide infrastructure data collection and   verification for the Norwegian ERTMS project<\/p><p class=\"\">SD 12\/2020<\/p><a href=\"https:\/\/signon-group.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/SD_12_20_norwegisches_ERTMS-Projekt_Magnussen_Trog_Trappmann_Hintze-2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"elementor-button-link\" download>Download<\/a><\/div><div class=\" col col-6 col-md-6\">In the course of the implementation of ERTMS (European Rail Traffic Management System) in Norway, the infrastructure operator Bane NOR implemented the IDAM project (Infrastructure Data Acquisition and Management) in cooperation \nwith Signon. The objective was to provide up-to-date and nationwide uniform data for ETCS (European Train Control System) project planning. The project entailed capturing the entire 4000 km railway network using mobile mapping technology, surveying more than 60.000 objects and updating the central asset database BaneData and adding topology and geodata.<\/div><\/li><li class=\"list-group-item row\"><div class=\"media-body col col-6 col-md-10 d-flex flex-column justify-content-aroundcol-md-6\"><p class=\"h6 mb-3\">Leave no data gaps \u2013   geodata modelling using RailTopoModel<\/p><p class=\"\">SD 05\/2020<\/p><a href=\"https:\/\/signon-group.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/sd-05-2020-geodatenmodellierung-elstner-brendel.pdf\" class=\"elementor-button-link\" download>Download<\/a><\/div><div class=\" col col-6 col-md-6\">Infrastructure models provide a framework for the description of railway systems in appropriate data formats. While two topology modelling methods are currently being \ndiscussed, namely the node-edge model (NEM) and the UIC \nRailTopoModel (RTM), less attention has been paid to the \nmodelling of positioning and, more precisely, geographic in-\nformation. Yet, RTM already includes a concept for the integration of positioning information, which is presented and discussed in this article. There-\nfore, the EULYNX initiative has decided to implement state \nmachine tests as early as in the specification phase. State machines enable the complete and unambiguous definition of a system\u2019s behaviour.
