SIGNON was contracted by Siemens to conduct a validation of ETCS balises in terms of their positions, distances and contents for the installation of ETCS Level 2 on several sections of railway on the Hungarian route network. In addition to the traditional form of mobile surveying, this also involves the evaluation of JRU data.

The SATengine Valid method used here provides Siemens with an independent capture of infrastructure data, which are then used as the basis for the automated comparison of real-time data with project planning data. Potential discrepancies can therefore be omitted prior to the acceptance inspection and commissioning.
