Siemens required up-to-date and precise information on the existing infrastructure for the launch of the Trainguard MT train control system for the Copenhagen urban rail network. SIGNON was responsible for capturing and preparing this infrastructure data using its SATengine mobile mapping system, providing Siemens with a reliable data base for its project planning work.

All relevant areas of the route network were captured during the course of several measurement trip campaigns. In addition to the position of the infrastructure objects, gradients down to the precise track and platform were also provided as the basis for project planning work. By using SATengine Viewer, Siemens is able to make use of the video data at any time when conducting subsequent analyses.
